Gratisware |
| Q: |
What is Gratisware? |
| A: |
Gratisware is a company that distrubutes software
products with a special advertising code enbeeded into the software.
For example if you download Dr. Goo [Gratisware Version] you
are downloading both the original Dr. Goo game and the Gratisware
Advertising program. Gratisware puts itself into your e-mail
client, the game itself, your browser and sometimes effects
the whole computer and operating system. |

| Q: |
The Gratisware Uninstall
program didn't work! |
| A: |
The unistall program is a console program. It works under
Microsoft Windows 95/98/98SE/XP and *should* work under Microsoft
Windows 2000 and NT systems. It cannot be run from DOS (core).
You can not run it run Linux, Unix, etc. for obvious reasons
unless you have a WIN32 emulator.
The uninstall program does work and we have tested it on
a number of computers. It can take up to around 10-15 minutes
to complete. If you feel it's not doing anything - trust me
it is! Windows sometimes thinks the program is not responding.
If your press CTRL-ALT-DEL it may say it's not when really
it is.
The best idea is to run the program and leave it until your
a promted to do otherwise. Just let it run for around 40 minutes
and then give up and contact either us or Gratisware.
Offical Unistall instructions can be found at:
